Whale & Dolphin Watching Catamaran Cruise Itinerary

After meeting at Funchal Marina at the scheduled time, you'll climb on board your catamaran ready to set sail on the waters of the southern coast of Madeira. Throughout your three-hour cruise, you'll have the opportunity to learn fascinating facts about the diverse species of marine life that inhabit this area thanks to the explanations of your English-speaking crew member.

From the deck of the catamaran, you'll watch out for whales and dolphins as they swim just a few feet from the boat. If you're lucky, you might even spot the dolphins jumping into the air! See which species you can differentiate: the blue whale, the sperm whale, the short-finned pilot whale, and more!

As well as marvelling at the fauna of Madeira, you'll also enjoy spectacular views of the island's rugged mountainous landscape from the sea. A truly magical experience!

Important Info

It is very common to see whales and dolphins around the island of Madeira. However, please bear in mind that animals are unpredictable, and we cannot guarantee sightings of any species of whales or dolphins.
